Committed to being a master printer as well as the environment, she was featured by Micro Publishing News, March 1996 in the article “Santa Monica Printer Blends Ecology and Technology.”
She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. Mostly self-taught, with various art classes at SMC, workshops at Scripps College, Self Help Graphics and Freestyle Photographic add to the progression of her work.
“Marler’s subtle tonal range of color prints gorgeously captures the essence… Her images are beautifully seen and executed,” wrote the Santa Barbara Independent, August 2006.
A. Marler’s world communicates a deep tension between old and young; dirty and clean; rough and delicate in her contemporary vintage images.
