I was raised in a St. Louis family that collected, sold, and repaired typewriters. These machines and vintage cameras are part of my personal history and have naturally become part of the subject matter of my visual expression. Like haiku is a verse of 5, 7, 5 syllables, keywords is abbreviated (as is our language with texting and online) typewriter poetry. The keyword structure is three letters and four rows. The distilled mantra either fits literally or is truncated to fit within the structure.
